East Asian Games

Hi Everyone!

It is very exciting to see that the East Asian Games will be held in Hong Kong this year! Many athletes from Hong Kong will participate in this event. Do you know any friends or relatives that will be in the games?

The athletes that participate in international sports competitions are extremely hard working and dedicated to their sport. These athletes will train every day for many hours. If they are tired, feel a bit sick, or it is bad weather, they must still train every day. They are so dedicated because they want to become the best in their sport and win a medal. I think these athletes are very special people. Do agree?
Do you think you could train this hard every day?

Which sport in the East Asian Games, do you think would be really fun to try?

I think Windsurfing would be really fun to try because....
I would really like to try Wushu because....
I ride my bike really well. I think I would be good at Cycling.

Hi Students!

Wow, October is here! It feels like September ended so quickly! Do you agree or do you think that September took a long time to end?

When a month/ a week/ a weekend/ a day/ a lesson feels like it goes by very fast, you can say "Time flies when you're having fun!" (Time can go quickly when you are enjoying yourself.)

Write a blog entry and tell me:
What activity makes you feel like "time flies".

Examples:

Time flies when I am playing with Ben. He is so funny and we laugh a lot.

Time flies when I am playing the violin. I love the sounds and the music so much.

Time flies when I am hiking with my family. It feels so great to walk around the forest with them.

Welcome Back!

Hi Everyone!!

So great to see everyone back at school! I read all your blog entries and it seems like you all had a good summer. I hope you are ready for a new school year.

I also had a good summer! I went to Macau and Malaysia on holiday. I also spent a lot of time at the beach in Hong Kong.

Did you see the GI Joe movie?? I saw it and thought it was very exciting!

Did you know that China will celebrate its 60th National Day soon? It will be an exciting day for people all over China. How will you celebrate this special day?

You can see from my photos above that I love to visit China. I think it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I have been to many many different places in China and I want to go again.

You should know a slogan in English to show your support for the country. (A slogan is a sentence or motto about your group or country)

Swine Flu

Hi Students!

Having a great time!

Hi guys and gals!

How are you doing this week? Is anything new with you? Nothing is new with me. I felt a little bit bored at home this week. I didn't do much, just stayed at home watching TV and reading some books.

This week, I want to know what activity you do that makes you feel wonderful every time you do it. For some people, they feel great when they are playing the piano, sketching pictures, swimming in a competition or playing cards with their friends. There are so many activities that you can do and everyone has a different idea of which activity makes them feel the best.

For me, I get excited when I am skiing down a mountain. But because there is no snow in Hong Kong, I had to find another activity. So I started taking Thai Kick Boxing lessons. It is so much fun and it's thrilling to kick and punch my friend!

Holidays

Hi Everyone!

Do you like my blog?? The old blog had some technical problems so I had to find a new one.

I would love to hear about your Chinese New Year Holiday! What did you do? Where did you go? Did anything exciting happen?

For my holiday, I went to Europe with a friend. It was so much fun to explore new countries. I went to The Netherlands and Germany. We hired a car and drove all around these two countries. The food in Germany was excellent and the views of the city in Amsterdam were so amazing! I took a lot of photos. You can see me in the picture above. I am standing on a bridge over the canal. In Amsterdam there are hundreds of canals all over the city. Some people even live on boats. You can see from the picture that the houses in Amsterdam are very different from the buildings in Hong Kong. It is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to!

I love to travel all around the world. Where have you been outside of Hong Kong? Do you think you would like to visit Europe some day??
